INDIVIDUAL TRIATHLON

On the 18 of February the Individual Triathlon took place at Fendalton School and I was in it. It was swimming first. I walked to the pool nervously. When I was getting up I heard people chatting. Now it was time for the race. On your marks, get set, honk! Splash! When everyone in the race splashed into the pool I took it nice and easy. When I finished my first lap, I went a bit faster. Then I finished, I ran out of the pool area and then I went to my bike. When I got my shoes on and my helmet, I got my bike and raced to the tape and got onto my bike and peddled. Then I saw two people behind me so I went faster and then I saw that I was all ready on the field so I followed the yellow cones. I went past the finish line and I nearly went into the swap over place, so I turned but there was no yellow cones so I waited till anyone came past, but then the people behind me over took me so I got onto my bike and peddled. Then I over took then, then they over took me then I had to get off my bike or I would be disqualified, so I got off my bike and I naerly hit the pole. I was panting then I ran with my bike then it was a smooth foot path. Then I was on fire. Just then I over took them again, then I was on the field and I was trying to get faster. Finally I got off my bike and up to the running stage. Then I was panting hard but I kept on going. Soon I was at the native area, I went a bit faster because it was cool, then it was hot again. Then I saw people behind me so I sprinted then I was out of the gate. Then they both over took me then I was on the field. I sprinted. I got my place - 8th. I was glad I did it.
